DONG Energy Sales is the third largest commercial gas supplier with an 11% share of the UK Industrial and Commercial market. The company was formed in May 2012 through the acquisition of Shell Gas Direct by Danish utility company DONG Energy. DONG Energy Sales supplies natural gas to over 5,000 customers across a diverse range of sectors including manufacturing, the public sector, national retail, and energy-intensive industries. They recently achieved the No.1 ranking for customer service for a record seventh consecutive time in the twice-yearly Datamonitor survey of industrial and commercial gas customers.
